L. Safe Wheelchair Travel

The University of Michigan has published a consumer brochure on traveling with a wheelchair on a van or bus.

This brochure deals with what equipment is needed, how a wheelchair should be secure properly, and how seatbelts should be place on wheelchair users.

It is highly recommended to buy a wheelchair with the TRANSIT option. The TRANSIT option is explained in the brochure.
