Roll
Call, Introductions, Public Participation
Secretary Richard Fusco opened the meeting at 10:30 a.m. and called roll. Sam Gold from the
Council of Governments of the Central Naugatuck Valley (COGCNV) introduced
himself. There was a quorum by municipalities. There were no public comments.

Administrative
Items
a. Minutes
of the September 9, 2004
meeting: The charts for Ridership had errors. The correct numbers are on your
FTA Reports. On a motion by Gary DellaRocco, seconded by JoAnn Cappelletti it
was unanimously
VOTED: To
approve the Minutes of September 9, 2004 with the correct numbers from the FTA
Reports.
b. Financial
Report: On a motion by JoAnn Cappelletti, seconded by Gary DellaRocco it was
unanimously
VOTED To table the June
2004 Financial Report.
On a motion by Gary DellaRocco, seconded
by Sally Schilke it was unanimously
VOTED: To accept the
Financial Report for September 2004.

c. Ridership
and Service Report September 2004: Maria Vaccarrelli reported that the
Ridership for total for September was 7,238, ADA
ridership was 4,912, CDOT Ridership was 2,221, the percentage was 68% ADA
to 31% CDOT, Cancellations was 957, Denied Trips was 14, Late Cancellations was
2, Missed Trips was 0 and No Shows was 55.
d. Correspondence:
GWTD Pamphlets were distributed.

GWTD
Report
- Federal
Level: Congress has not passed the Transportation Equity Act but extended
old TEA for 8 months (May 31,
2005). The Transit budget is in a continuing resolution at the
May 2004 level for another month.
- CACT-Connecticut
Association of Community Transportation- is holding their meeting on October 21, 2004 in Hartford
at 1 p.m. on Public Policy 101.
Details are in your envelope. Contact Chairman if you want to attend.
- CPTC-
Connecticut Public Transportation Commission- is holding a Public Hearing
on October 20, 2004;
in Waterbury at the Silas
Bronson Library at 7:30 p.m.
discuss your opinion of Public Transportation in this area.
- Audit-
Mr. Cappelletti a CPA will show me how to do a self certify audit. As an
audit will cost us over $900.00.
- Two
vacancies on the board from Waterbury.
- The
municipalities of Waterbury, Watertown
and Naugatuck have not paid
their membership dues. Spoke to Waterbury
and they will pay it in October.
- Next
meeting is on Wednesday,
November 10, 2004 at 10:30 a.m.
at The Village at East Farm. Need a full attendance for the new budget.

Non-ADA
Paratransit Repot
Middlebury for the month of September had 2 trips. JoAnn
Cappelletti stated it was a computer error.

North
East Transportation Report
Maria Vaccarrelli reported that North East Transportation
has received the Northwest Accessible Transportation Guide. Copies of this
guide was distributed and asked to place in senior’s centers. Has information
on teaching people how to use public transportation. Has information about
JobLinks, fixed route bus system and paratransit.

Business
Robert DeZinno asked question on ADA
and Non-ADA paratransit. Richard Fusco explained paratransit. DeZinno discussed
his problem with his trips, Richard Fusco told Maria Vaccarrelli to investigate
his problems and report back to the board at the next meeting.

Meeting
Next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the Village at East Farms
at 10:30 a.m.

On a motion by Carolyn Giguere, seconded by Sally Schilke
was unanimously
VOTED: To adjourn the GWTD Meeting at 11:30 a.m.
