1. What is GWTD?

The Greater Waterbury Transit District (GWTD) is an organization formed to represent nine municipalities in the Greater Waterbury area on transportation issues concerning persons with disabilities and the elderly.

The GWTD acts as a resource for information on Paratransit in the Greater Waterbury area, as an advocate for transportation, and as an Advisory Committee to North East Transportation (NET).

The nine municipalities include:

Cheshire

Middlebury

Naugatuck

Prospect

Southbury

Thomaston

Waterbury

Watertown

Wolcott
